Trayvoning: The New Internet Fad

First there was “planking”, then “tebowing”.  Now there is a new fad on the internet stiring controversy.

The trend is called “Trayvoning” and imitates the death of Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed by nieghorhood watchman George Zimmerman.

Several pages have popped up on Facebook with pictures of teens lying on the floor as if dead, wearing a hoodie and holding an ice tea and a bag of Skittles next to them. 

The pages have been removed by the social media site, but Hip-hop gossip site VladTV has the pictures that can be seen here.

Zimmerman claims he shot Martin in self-defense and has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges.
