Rihanna tells Oprah she lost her 'best friend' in Chris

Rihanna opens up about her relationship with Chris Brown in an upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey. She says that Brown's arrest for beating her "was embarrassing. It was humiliating. I lost my best friend." She goes on to say, "I was resentful. I held a grudge. I was dark."

The interview will air on Oprah's Next Chapter a week from Sunday.

According to Us Weekly, Oprah was impressed with RiRi, saying, "I thought she would have been kind of a bad-ass kind of a rocker hard-edge woman - nothing could have been farther from the truth. She was thoughtful. She was very emotional. She was vulnerable."

Us Weekly also reports that Rihanna and Brown dated "off and on" during 2011.
