The man accused in the mass shootings at a Tuscaloosa nightclub is on suicide watch. Officials say after an evaluation by a psychiatrist and due to statements made by 44 year old Nathan Van Wilkins, suicide watch is necessary for the newest inmate at the Tuscaloosa County jail. Wilkins reportedly told Jasper police when he surrendered that he hoped police would have shot him dead after he fired shots into the Copper Top bar that injured 17 people. Wilkins faces 18 counts of attempted murder.
