A change in leadership is coming to UAB. Longtime president Carol Garrison announced Thursday she is leaving the university. Garrison describes her 10 years as president as "extremely rewarding." UAB's enrollment reached record levels during her tenure. Garrison isn't saying much about her future plans, other than staying in her current job, until a successor is chosen. UA System Board of Trustees Chairman Paul Bryant, Jr. issued a statement thanking Garrison for her service.
